A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault in broad daylight at a park just yards from a police station. An officer responded to the incident in Firs Gardens on Grove Road, just a short distance from Stratford Police Station, after a passer-by raised the alarm shortly after midday on Tuesday (12).

A 30-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of common assault. He has been bailed until next month.

The member of the public who informed police of the incident had gone when the officer returned to collect more details. Warwickshire Police is now appealing for that person to get in touch.
