Coventry City is now the sole sporting club with branding on the CBS Arena following the removal of Wasps RFC signage from the stadium.
Local firm Moseley Signs, who have operated in the city since 1933, have been tasked with removing the former stadium owners’ giant Wasps logos and branding from the outside of the Arena, which continues to be the home of the Sky Blues.
Wasps went into administration in October and the team was suspended from the Gallagher Premiership with 167 redundancies. Wasps were handed a lifeline after an offer was accepted for the men’s rugby and academy sides by a consortium called Members of the Wasps Legends group have had a deal approved by the joint administrators of Wasps Holdings Limited, subject to contract.

It was uncertain whether the rugby club would continue to play at the Coventry Building Society Arena, which was this month bought by Mike Ashley’s Fraser Group, but this latest development appears to signal that they are on the move.
CoventryLive can confirm that all exterior signs are being taken down, including two large five metre Wasps logos.
