Coventry is absolutely bursting at the seams when it comes to places to get your beef burger fix. During the global pandemic and since restrictions were lifted, more and more businesses have opened serving up beef in a bun in their own unique styles.
As today (August 25) is National Burger Day, it was an opportune time for our team to put their heads together and list their favourite beef burger options in Coventry.
We've listed our favourites below. Have we missed any out? Let us know in the comments below...
JP's Kitchen, Spon End
Located in The Arches Industrial Estate, this is one of a growing group that also has kitchens in Nuneaton, Exhall and Rugby too. They're always keeping their menu fresh but the bacon jam burger is to die for. Read our review from March 2021 here.
7Bone Burger Co, Hay Lane
There's all sorts of crazy burgers combinations on offer at 7Bone along with deep-fried bacon as a side! Read our review from June 2021 here.
Brgr Lab, Stoney Stanton Road
They might be a bit short of vowels in their business name, but they're not lacking for creativity in their food, unashamedly mixing in chicken and nachos with beef - and even chicken AND egg on its breakfast muffin.
Burger Boi's, Daventry Road
One of the newer kids on the block, Burger Boi's impressed us when we reviewed them back in December 2021. The triple cheese burger was a real winner, as were the delicious wings and loaded fries.
Top Burger (various)
You'll find them at Tile Hill Lane, Far Gosford Street and Hall Green Road - so they're clearly doing something right.
Stripclub Streetfood, Factory at FarGo Village
When it comes to visuals, few are beating Stripclub Streetfood. But that's half the battle when it comes to streetfood. Fancy some Biscoff biscuit with your burger? These are the guys to try out!
Five Guys, Cathedral Lanes
We tried to leave out the 'big boys' when it came to this list but Five Guys had to make it in there. Since arriving in the city, they've done a roaring trade.
Dirty Kitch, FarGo Village
While virtually all of the businesses on this list offer vegan-friendly options, Dirty Kitch 100 per cent vegan friendly and everything is made in-house. Check out the Texan BBQ beast and the Buffalo Soldier.
Two Guys, Spon End
Now where did they get the inspiration for that name? The Spon End business has a stilton burger and an all-day breakfast burger on its menu.
The Green Dragon, Spon Street
Now this is far from being a burger joint, but its Dexter Burger is a popular menu item, boasting handmade buns, Dexter beef patties and an in-house sauce.
Street, Earlsdon Street
There's been a change of direction at Street with it now boasting fantastic smokehouse food, as well as five different beef burgers - including one that has 12-hour smoked pulled bbq brisket.
Bun & Steak, Earlsdon Street
Does exactly what it says on the tin, offering steak options as well as beef burgers. Feeling hungry? Try out the jaw breaker which boasts FIVE patties.
Beef Belly, Walsgrave Road
Nachos on your burger? No problem. How about some 'double trouble' or hot chilli, or even Swiss mushrooms with your beef? Beef belly has a crazy-long burger menu - and its specials are stacked with unique combinations.
Wall Street Burgers, Walsgrave Road
Great name, and great burgers too at appealing prices.
Cafe Morso, Corporation Street
There's some belting burgers on Cafe Morso's menu but our favourite is its black and blue burger featuring a cajun spiced beef patty topped with blue cheese.
