Frost is set to follow the September heatwave but not before thundery showers strike in Coventry and Warwickshire. After the sizzling temperatures of the past week, the mercury is set to well and truly drop.

The Mirror has reported that there is even a chance that parts of the UK could see frost by the end of the week. But before you start to grab your winter woolies, households in Coventry and Warwickshire should brace for a humid start to the week.

In fact, the local Met Office weather forecast predicts that thundery showers could strike our region this afternoon (September 11). But it has warned that the temperature could still hit 24C.
