Diggers could be sent in to tear down a former Coventry factory building. The Amtico Company Limited wants to demolish the old factory buildings located on the factory site on Kingfield Road.

It has submitted a prior approval planning application to Coventry City Council about the demolition of the factory buildings. In it, it explains that the old factory building is in 'disrepair'.

It states: "Building is in disrepair. Unused for its original use and not practical to repair. End of life of the building." The application goes on to explain that the building will be pulled down by heavy duty demolition machinery.

It adds that all rubble will be crushed on site and back filling what remains. All recyclable materials will be segregated and removed. The application does not explain what the future plans are for the old factory site if demolition is agreed.
