Kenilworth's main drag looks set to welcome a new Indian restaurant in the not-too-distant future. Hot Tava Grill and Sizzler is 'opening soon' in a unit at Abbey End.

Little is known of the enterprise, with internet searches on the brand delivering next to no information. But the name of the eatery and the branding on the shop front hoarding in Abbey End suggest Hot Tava will be an Indian restaurant.

The multi-coloured signage shows a man dressed in a turban. A tawa is a metal frying pan-like cooking instrument often used in the cuisines of south, central and west Asia.

According to Companies House, Hot Tava formed as a private limited company in July with its registered business address listed as 47 Abbey End, Kenilworth. Amarjit Singh Kullar, 58, and Varinder Kullar, 67, are listed as the company's two directors.

The pair have and continue to be involved with a number of businesses, according to Companies House. If Hot Tava does indeed focus on south Asian cuisine it will have no little competition. There are already several Indian restaurants within a mile-radius of Abbey End and also a Thai eatery on Warwick Road, though it is currently under refurbishment.
