It's proved a divisive topic but one in three readers say they would welcome the rollout of more 20mph zones locally. It comes after Wales became the first country in the UK to make 20mph the default speed limit in built up areas.

But many people aren't happy, with a petition against the move attracting a record-breaking number of signatures. But 20mph zones exist elsewhere. Cannon Park Road and Fairlands Park in Canley has had the defaulted speed limit since December 2022 after residents had concerns that the road would be 'a rat-run for speeding drivers' and 'the path of least resistance' if it wasn't implemented.

In Leamington, three roads have been passed for the speed limit on Marlborough Drive, Calder Walk and Gainsborough Drive which were initially rolled out by mistake due to a 'communication misunderstanding' but this time, the limit is going ahead.
