Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to an assault in Leamington. Two men were believed to have approached a man in his 50s at McDonalds on the Parade at around 10pm.

They began verbally abusing the man before one of them attacked him, leaving him with head injuries. The two men then fled the scene.

Police have said the victim's injuries are not life threatening, but are still appealing to the public for anyone with information on the incident.

Officers want to speak to the man pictured as they believe he may have more information that could help with their investigation. In a statement, Warwickshire Police said: "Enquiries are currently continuing but we’re keen for anyone who recognises the man, or the man himself to come forward.

"We’re also appealing for anyone else who was in the area at the time to get in touch. Anyone with information should contact the force or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 348 of 14 January."
