Willenhall

Willenhall is a residential suburb in the southeast of Coventry. Originally a small village, it was incorporated into Coventry and expanded during and after the Second World War. Willenhall Wood, a 22-acre nature reserve, was the site of a plane crash in 1994 when a Boeing 737 came down as it headed to Coventry Airport, killing all five crew. Willenhall residents believe the pilot crashed in the trees to avoid hitting nearby homes.
