Wyken

Wyken is a residential suburb in northeast Coventry. Wyken boasts Coventry’s oldest surviving building, the 11th century St Mary Magdalene church. The council’s larger Wyken ward also contains the neighbourhoods of Caludon and Oak Farm. The area includes the remains of Caludon Castle, reputed to be the birthplace and family residence of St George, England’s patron saint who is said to have killed a dragon that was menacing the city.
