Two people have been arrested this weekend in connection with the shooting of a 'loved' father in Leamington Spa. Ben Daly was found with a gunshot wound in Clemens Street in August.

Mr Daly, from Leamington, died in hospital after being found with serious injuries. Detectives believe the 30-year-old was shot a short time earlier in nearby Frances Havergal Close.

A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and a 30-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, said Warwickshire Police. Officers say both remained in custody as of Saturday, September 30.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Teresa McKenna, previously said: “I would like to make it clear that our investigation is making rapid progress. It was an isolated incident, and we are doing everything in our power to bring those responsible to justice.”

DCI McKenna added: “While we try to establish the circumstances leading up to this incident, we would still like to hear from any potential witnesses who may have been in the area between 1am and 3am on Thursday (August 10) and who may have seen something suspicious. We would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of Frances Havergal Close or Ranelagh Terrace between these times.”
