Leamington Spa

Leamington Spa is a large town in south Warwickshire, in Warwick district. With a population of 49,500, Leamington grew as a spa resort renowned for its healing waters. A Royal prefix was granted by Queen Victoria in 1838 and the game of tennis was founded in the town in 1872. A plaque marks the location of the former Midland Oak at the centre of England. Tourism and shopping are primary industries and the town is also a hub for video games developers.
