Comic Rob Beckett has poked fun at a Warwickshire town after going on an open-top bus tour - around industrial estates. He said that Stratford-upon-Avon was 'not Valencia' and that its famed tourism history is confined to within the town centre and did not warrant an open-top bus tour for visitors.

Speaking on the hugely successful Parenting Hell podcast., which he co-hosts with fellow comic Josh Widdicombe, he said: "I went on an open-top bus tour of Stratford-upon-Avon with Matt Ford, when we were out gigging," he said. "We ended up getting off at an industrial estate and having a Pizza Hut all you can eat buffet." Laughing, co-host Josh quipped: "It is what the Bard would have wanted, Rob?" Adding: "Did you see the Pizza Hut and think 'f*** it' and get off?"

To which Rob replied: "Yeah. To be honest that was the only thing we saw. Stratford, I would say, is big enough to wander around and you can get what you want from it. It is not Valencia, it does not need a sight-seeing bus."

Coventry comic Guz Khan appeared on their and told the hosts to 'get down the Rialto'. During the interview the former teacher Khan spoke of his love for the city and how he and his family still spend two to three days a week at the first family home in Coventry, next to his mum's.

The Man Like Mobeen star also spoke about how he stays grounded by taking his kids to 'Hilly' - in reference to Hillfields.
